Dysport®

Dysport® is an injectable drug much like Botox®. It is used to smooth and soften dynamic wrinkles that result through years of repeated facial expressions. Over time, these lines make us appear angry, tired and older than we feel. Younger patients with strong frown muscles develop wrinkles at an earlier age. Dysport® can prevent wrinkles from forming and lessen existing wrinkles.
Dysport® provides fast-acting, long-lasting, natural results that will leave you looking younger. On average, Dysport® results appear within 3-4 days, as opposed to Botox which can take 7-10 days.

Fillers
Dermal fillers are an injectable gel-like substance that are second only to neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport) in popularity. The subtle improvements that dermal fillers can provide is a great way to restore lost volume as we age.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are the most commonly used dermal fillers in Canada. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring carbohydrate in the human body. When we are young, it is present in large amounts in the spaces between skin cells, but with time our body’s natural ability to produce hyaluronic acid decreases, and along with it, plumpness, firmness, moisture and suppleness.
As we age, we lose volume causing sagging and hollowing. Fillers can add volume to the face by adding volume to cheeks, temples and under the eyes where fat pads gradually disappear and filling in wrinkles. They can be used to define jawlines and chins as well as plump lips and improve facial symmetry.
Results last between four months to over a year depending on various factors such as age, treatment area and the product used. Treatment typically takes less than 30 minutes and most clients can resume their daily activities immediately after, though mild bruising and swelling can occur. To avoid bruising, precautions can be taken such as alcohol, Ibuprofen and aspirin avoidance for a minimum of 24 hours prior to treatment.
