What is coconut oil?
Coconut oil is extracted from the meat portion of a mature coconut.
A Brief history on Coconut oil:
Coconut oil has been around for thousands of years and used throughout the world in various countries such as Jamaica, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria to name a few. The finding of coconut was talked about in the Story of Sinbad the sailor in the 1,001 Arabian nights story. The Portuguese gave the name of “coconut” in the 1700’s.
Benefits of coconut oil:
Coconut oil contains a fatty acid called lauric acid which is great for killing bacteria on the skin and when ingested it helps kill harmful pathogens too.
