It is valued for its precision & effectiveness in hair removal it involves using a thin, twisted cotton thread to trap and pull out individual hairs from the root, typically used on the eyebrows, upper lip, and other facial areas. Additionally, threading is often preferred by individuals with sensitive skin, as it does not involve chemicals or heat. Threading is better suited for darker complexions to ensure skin is not damaged through the waxing process, causing pigment changes.
How Is Threading Performed?
- Preparation: Our brow tech will ensure that your face is clean and dry before beginning the threading process.
- Thread Selection: We use only the best of the threads available by choosing a strong, thin cotton thread specific to the art of threading.
- Positioning: There are various methods as to how to thread, our tech is highly advanced and uses only the two-hand model, never needing to put a thread end within her mouth.
- Hair Removal: Our brow tech is highly skilled and will grasp the hair at the base effectively pulling the hair out at the root. Depending on the kind of hair, thickness, and growth our tech may go over the area several times to ensure all the tiny hair (peach fuzz) is removed.
- Aftercare: After threading, you may experience some redness or irritation in the treated area, it typically resolves within 30 minutes. We will apply a soothing lotion or aloe vera gel to calm the skin.
It's worth noting that while threading can be an effective method for removing unwanted facial hair, it may not be suitable for everyone with certain skin conditions. If you find threading to be painful but want to avoid the damage of waxing, please let us know and we can use numbing cream.
